Our mini-adventure theme for Summer 2 is all about chocolate! We will be studying historical sources to understand more about the history chocolate. We will study Ghana (including writing our own West African folk stories) and learn more about the nation that produces the most chocolate in the world! Pioneers will learn more about Fairtrade and discover how to write persuasively so they can spread the Fairtrade message! We will be cooking our own chocolate treats and learning how to evaluate, develop and adapt recipes.
We have begun our Chocolate mini adventure by making our own chocolate! We used a recipe that included coconut oil, maple syrup and cocoa powder. As you can see - some of us really enjoyed the final taste...and some of us did not!!
Felton Mile - 10th June
Today we did our first mile under 14 minutes!
Forest Based Learning 11.6.21
We did some orienteering around the school grounds this afternoon. We all managed to beat our times for the course :)
Over the next weeks, we will consider how we could make our own orienteering maps and courses for the younger children in school.
