Today, the children from Explorers, Adventurers and Pioneers went on a school visit to Alnwick Gardens. Thankfully, the weather was kind to us but that didn't stop us from getting wet in the Serpent Garden!
We got to go to the Root and Shoots workshop where we potted some plants and learnt how to care for them correctly. We also completed the garden trail by finding all of the letters.
A lepidopterist was on hand to teach us about the life cycle of butterflies and help us to understand more about their anatomy. We fielded lots of interesting questions and came away with some great new knowledge.
