Year 3, 4, 5 and 6 have had an amazing day at Hauxley Nature Reserve and Beach. We visited the bird hides and identified some of the amazing wildfowl there – our favourite were the oyster catchers and the tufted ducks! On the beach, we explored the rocky shore and we found all sorts of weird and wonderful creatures. Ask Year 5 and 6 about: hermit crabs, brittle stars and beadnell anemones!
Thank you to Mrs Chopping for organising such a fab day, we have learnt so much about all of the amazing wildlife on our doorstep!
