The Solar System
This half term, the Pioneers will be taking a trip through space. They will understand the structure of our Solar System and how Earth moves through space. They will learn about how humanity's knowledge and views of the Solar System have changed over time and they will explore how scientists such as Ptolemy, Alhazen and Copernicus shaped our understanding of space. They will design their own space buggies and programme them to complete missions. They will also be studying the novel Cosmic by Frank Cottrell-Boyce and will write their own space adventures.
