What a truly amazing day we had at Glendale! Children from Adventurers and Pioneers loved finding out about life in the agricultural community - even the wet weather couldn't dampen their spirits! The children took the opportunity to put questions to the experts, including talking to millers, shepherds and butchers.
It was brilliant in helping the children understand where a lot of our food supplies come from and the specialist skills and knowledge people have in order to do it. We fell in love with the sheepdogs and hounds and the falconry display was a real triumph. There was so much to see, we look forward to going back again next year.
We would also like to extend an enormous thank you to all of the parent helpers who braved the elements to be with us. Hopefully it didn't take you too long to dry out!
